The team will be holding a news conference for Manning to discuss the decision of stepping away from the game after two Super Bowl victories and 18 seasons. John Elway, the executive vice president of Broncos announced that they have been fortunate to have him as a part of their team. Manning called the Broncos to inform them that he would retire. It is said that they didn’t know of his decision to retire until he had called them.
Roger Goodell, the NFL commissioner, stated that Peyton Manning’s career was driven by his exceptional talent, incredible work ethic, and his unwavering desire to be the best performer. These aspects contributed to the victory of the Super Bowl, he added. Manning is a competitive player with love for the game and the same thrilled his fans. Manning, who is 39 years old, was a Super Bowl MVP, a seven-time first-team All-Pro, and a 14-time Pro Bowl selection.
