Former Boxing Champ Muhammad Ali Dies

Muhammad Ali, the three-time heavyweight champion passed away at the age of 74. He had charmed millions of fans with his confidence and wit in the ring and inspired millions with his contribution to the humanitarian causes. He fought a 32-year old battle with Parkinson’s disease. Ali was declared dead from septic shock caused by unspecified natural causes, said Bob Gunnell, the family spokesperson. His body was all set to be sent to his hometown in Kentucky within two days. His family will hold a private funeral in Louisville, his hometown and the same will be followed by a public memorial service.
At a press conference in Phoenix, Gunnell said that Muhammad’s extraordinary boxing career encompassed over half of his life. The other half was dedicated to sharing the message of peace with the world. Adhering to his wishes, his funeral will reflect his principals and be a celebration for everyone. Asaad Ali, the late boxer’s son, posted on Instagram that he is grateful for everything he was given. Hana Ali, his daughter tweeted that he was a Humble Mountain and that he has gone home to God. She also posted a lengthy statement about her dad’s passing and the emotional final moments with him. She said that even after his organs failed, his heart was beating for 30 minutes before he died.
